The Methodology

We use the Designing Your Life methodology, developed at Stanford to apply design thinking to career planning. The process treats career clarity as a series of prototypes to test rather than a single "right answer". Instead of trying to reason your way to the perfect job, the approach has you get curious, reframe unhelpful beliefs and run small, low-risk experiments such as conversations or trial projects to learn what actually engages and energizes you. This isn't about building a resume or refining your Linkedin profile or building a five-year plan, but a process for designing a career that's coherent with who you are and that you will love!

At the end of the 6 week workshop, you will have mapped out potential career paths and understand why those path make sense. You you will have identified actionable steps that you can start working on right away to better understand those option. You will be getting more comfortable with the design process and equipped with these skills you will be actively building your fulfilling career. And, you will have developed a supportive community to go with you on this journey!

Designers built this process. It is rooted in well proven methods used to build products we use everyday. The process starts with deep empathy, and a strong bias to discovery through action. As you try things, you learn more and then try and build again until you reach a fulfilling place. One can argue once you start you will probably keep on building because you will find joy in the process. To learn more check this article & video by the founders Bill & Dave

This isn't a job-search workshop. We don't write résumés, optimize LinkedIn profiles, run interview prep, or place anyone. We also don't hand you an assessment that names your ideal career. What you get is a repeatable way to find and test your own answer — and a group working on it alongside you

This workshop is best suited for mid career professionals

Your Facilitator

Kim has spent 25 years in higher education advising students, building programs, and navigating institutional complexity. She understands what it means to be capable, committed, and quietly questioning what comes next.

"My work has been developing for years, and it is built on the reality of 25 years of building community and credibility. I don't hide behind certifications; I stand behind results. My goal is to help you know all of who you are—not just the parts that are easy to explain."
